2007 State Fair
Last Friday we went with Joe & Jessie and cousins to the state fair. Joe's band was playing there twice that day. At his first concert, Mary Jo, Nathanael, Hannah, Tabitha, Naomi and Barnes showed up! We had a fun day hanging out with family! We enjoyed time together, the animals, looking at lots of neat stuff, and, of course, a deep fried candy bar! Here are some pictures of our time!
Joe and the Ransomed Heart band playing on the AT &T stage. Joe is center left, singing and playing guitar.
Fun with family at the concert
Barnes, Paul, Ben, and Uncle Joe on a Gator
Rachel and Miss Rachel on a boat ride
Cousins Ben and Asher, Rachel and Paul playing in a sand box. The kids loved this part!
Andrew, "working" on a Bobcat...he really enjoyed this!
We ended the day at Joe's concert at Lake Talbott stage. We had a wonderful day at the fair!

So many things to comment on with this post!!
1) "and, of course, a deep fried candy bar!"...hehe...i've never even heard of such a thing!!
2) It looks like the kiddos got to do TONS of fun things!! What a great day!
3) It seems that where ever our family goes, we ALWAYS take up at least 2 rows, tables, whatever. It's great!
4) My dad's favorite part would NOT have been the bobcat...he lost a couple toes to a bobcat once upon a time. :)
Thanks for sharing the photos!

I really liked the deep-fried snickers ... it's like a corn dog, only insted of a hot dog inside, it's a snickers bar. I had a corn dog too that day (Pronto Pup actually) ... and the gator taters (an entire potato in one giant paper thin slice coated entirely in hot grease) ... it was all sooooo good ... and of course I loved getting to spend time with everyone too :)

We had sooo much fun! But I am sad to say that Joe and I were not really impressed with the deep fried candy bar-sorry.

Hey Michelle!
Not sure if you check this site still, but I found your blog off of Sara's. We have thought about you over the years and wondered how you were. Looks like you are a busy wife and mom. How wonderful! Loved catching up a bit on your life via your blog. If you ever get this- we should get in touch...and stay that way =). Candace (for Mark too)
